Our Philosophy
At Ozaukee Child Care & Preschool (OCC), our goal is to provide high-quality, affordable childcare in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. We strive to create a warm and happy place where children feel loved, supported, and excited to learn.
We understand the important role we play in supporting working families. At OCC, we help children develop confidence, positive self-images, social skills, independence, and respect for others while learning and growing in a school setting.
Learning Through Play
We believe children learn best through play. Our daily schedules provide a balance of teacher-guided experiences and child-directed play, as well as active and quiet activities. Classrooms are thoughtfully designed with age-appropriate materials and experiences that encourage children to explore, discover, create, and learn.
Purposeful Learning
Our curriculum is built around relevant themes and learning experiences connected to children's interests and the world around them. Teachers intentionally plan activities that focus on the process rather than the finished product, allowing children to experiment, problem-solve, make choices, and experience the pride that comes from doing something on their own.
Every Child Is Unique
We recognize that every child develops at their own pace. We meet children where they are, celebrate their individual strengths, and provide opportunities for continued growth. Our goal is to nurture each child's natural curiosity and love of learning while helping them become confident, capable, and caring individuals.
