Ashley Scheunemann

Grafton Center Director

Hello! My name is Ashley, and I am proud to serve as the Director of our center. I am married and have two wonderful daughters, along with our family dog, Jaco, who keeps us all on our toes!

My passion for working with children began at a young age. Growing up, I spent time babysitting, helping with Vacation Bible School, and assisting teachers whenever I could. Those early experiences sparked my love for early childhood education and set me on the path to this career

Educational Experience

I went on to attend Concordia University, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Adaptive Education. I also completed the Leadership Credential through UW–Milwaukee to further strengthen my ability to support both children and educators.

While attending school, I continued working here at the center. I started as a school-age teacher and worked my way up to becoming the Director. This journey has given me a deep understanding of our classrooms, our team, and the needs of the families we serve.

As a Director, my goal is not only to foster a love of learning in children but also to support and inspire our teachers. I believe that strong, supported educators create the best environments for children to grow and thrive. Providing high-quality childcare for our community is incredibly important to me, as early childhood lays the foundation for lifelong learning.

I am so grateful to be part of this community and look forward to partnering with your family!
