Brenda Brooks
Mequon Center Assistant Director
My name is Ms. Brenda, and I am the Assistant Director at Ozaukee Child Care and Preschool. I truly love being part of the OCC family and look forward to coming to work each and every day. Working in early childhood is so special to me because no two days are ever the same—each day brings new experiences, new discoveries, and lots of joy.
One of my favorite parts of my job is spending time with the children and watching them learn, grow, and reach new milestones. I feel so lucky to witness so many meaningful and memorable moments, from big achievements to the little things that make each child unique. I am passionate about creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where every child feels valued and supported. I’m so happy to be a part of your child’s learning journey!
Educational Experience
I graduated from Kaukauna High School in 2005 and then moved to Mequon to attend Concordia University, where I studied Elementary Education. In 2010, I earned my degree with a major in Elementary Education and minors in Theology and Mathematics.
After graduating, I gained experience through part-time teaching opportunities. However, I soon realized how much I loved working with younger children and made my way back to OCC, where I began teaching 3K.
After 15 years of teaching 3K, I am now the Assistant Director at OCC and run the School Age Program in the Summer.
