Mequon 4K Lead
My name is Ms. Ashley and I am the lead teacher for the Pre-K classroom and the Teacher Mentor at Ozaukee Childcare and Preschool in Mequon. My work in childcare began at the age of 16, when I took an after school job at Guardian Angel Extended care in Grafton. I quickly realized that I truly had a passion for working with young children. My goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, explore, and grow. As the Teacher Mentor, I get to share my experience and collaborate with my coworkers. Teaching at OCC gives me the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the children I work with, and to me there is no better feeling than watching them succeed.
Educational Experience
I graduated from Carthage College with a BA in psychology and a minor in Spanish. My education included classes in child development and child psychology, as well as a work study at Next Generation Now in Racine. During summer breaks from school I returned to Guardian Angel and took a full time position there after college. I began working at OCC in 2014. I became the lead teacher of the Pre-K classroom in 2017 and in 2025 I became the Teacher Mentor
