Ms. Trish
Mequon Floater
I have worked at OCC for many years, first as the lead teacher in the young ones room, and now floating mainly between the PreK and 3K Classroom. I love the children and families here and enjoy bringing my musical background into the classroom.
I live in Mequon with my husband of 49 years, Chuck. We have a daughter in Portland, Oregon, working on her PhD, and we dearly miss our son, Cory, who passed away in 2024. In my free time, I enjoy reading, music, concerts, crafts, photography, and collecting nativity sets—currently over 1,300!
Educational Experience
I earned my degree in music education from UW–Madison and taught in Australia at the elementary, high school, and college levels. After our son Cory’s experience with Kodály-based early childhood music, I earned my Kodály certification from birth through high school, specializing in early childhood.
I taught at the University of Queensland before returning to the U.S. in 2004. I still teach piano at my home studio and have fulfilled all requirements to teach at OCC.
